With the MBL Season winding down, many teams have turned their attention to the draft. We wanted to look back at the MBL Season 34 draft and see how the class looks 3 seasons later. Like any draft, we saw some real steals and some real stinkers. How did your pick grade out? Read on and find out.

1

Dolphins

Allen Rose

QB

79

84

A+

Analysis

Rose had a tough rookie season but has bounced back admirably. Rose passed for 38 TDs this season as he continues to lead one of the league’s best offenses year after year.

2

Bills

Morgan Henry

OT

81

81

C+

Analysis

While Henry is a fine player, he is playing for a team that is currently dead last in offense. He hasn't been able to progress since being drafted and hasn't helped the Bills much.

3

Packers

Moses Hood

S

83

98

A+

Analysis

No surprise that the draft expert himself took one of the best players in the draft. He has picked up 17 interceptions in his career so far. A star and one of league's premier safety.

4

Eagles

Risean Hunter

OLB

81

83

B+

Analysis

Hunter has had a bit of a slump after a stellar sophomore campaign where he had 14 sacks and 5 forced fumbles. Injuries have been a factor. Still a solid player and impactful when healthy.

5

Raiders

Aurel McFoy

OLB

80

90

B

Analysis

While McFoy has great physical stats on paper, he has only picked up 14 sacks in 3 seasons. He oozes potential so hopefully he can pick up his 1st double digit sack campaign soon.

6

Chargers

Najee Lacy

OT

81

91

A+

Analysis

Lacy is one of the best players at the offensive line position. He helped keep Hartley upright during his solid rookie campaign. He is one of the league's best pass blocker.

7

Redskins

Jon Boswell

OT

80

80

B-

Analysis

Offensive line talent is rare this cycle, and Boswell is certainly as solid prospect. It is a little concerning he has not progressed at all since the draft but a solid player then, and a solid player now.

8

49ers

Paul Eugene

S

76

86

D-

Analysis

I did not like this pick at the time, and I still don't. Eugene is too slow to play safety in my eyes. He has been decent for someone with linebacker speed, but a top 8 pick should be more of an impact player.

9

Broncos

Adrian Sullivan

S

80

99

A+

Analysis

It may be a little biased but Sullivan has turned into one of the league's best safeties. The 1st 99 in this class has led the Broncos in tackles each of his 1st 3 season and picked up 12 interceptions.

10

Panthers

Quayshon Allen

OLB

77

81

F

Analysis

While he had a good rookie season with 6 sacks, Allen has yet to record one since with only 25 tackles in the last 2 seasons. Less than a tackle a game is not what you want to see from a top 10 pick.

“Rose passed for 38 TDs this season as he continues to lead one of the league’s best offenses year after year.”

11

Texans

Gordon Boller

C

80

80

B

Analysis

Boller is probably the best offensive lineman on the Texans. He also has not progressed much since his rookie season but is a good pickup for a mid-round pick.

12

Steelers

Marshell Darden

HB

81

81

F

Analysis

If you take a RB this high, he needs to be a star. See: Gurley, Elliot, Barkley. Darden has 9 TD's in 3 seasons and a mediocre 1000 yards. Plenty of better running backs have been taking 3 or 4 rounds later.

13

Bucs

Aerion Winters

OG

78

86

A-

Analysis

Unlike most of the other offensive lineman above him, Winters has gotten better since being drafted.  He is the draft's 2nd best lineman today and was the 5th one taken. An excellent pickup.

14

Redskins

Dawson Tuitt

OG

76

77

B

Analysis

Tuitt is a solid starting lineman, which is all you ask for with a mid round pick. He is very similar to the Redskins other 1st round pick Boswell.  He is still only 23 so should be around for years to come.

15

Cardinals

Joey Gordy

CB

77

89

B+

Analysis

Gordy has come along way in his 3 years improving in a major way. He lacks acceleration but he is excellent in a zone. He has put it together this season with 6 interceptions.

16

Ravens

Farrington Peters

S

80

95

A+

Analysis

To pick up this of a talented player with the 16th pick is quite amazing. He is one of the league's fastest safeties and has turned into an amazing player. What a draft for safeties.

17

Rams

Bryant Cohen

QB

73

73

F

Analysis

Cohen was never a 1st round talent. The Rams have showed how much faith they have in Cohen but trading for Trubisky and bringing in Aaron Rodgers. He has 7 TDs and 18 INTs.

18

Jets

Ross Mihlhauser

DT

81

84

A-

Analysis

Ross was a great pick up at 18th overall. He has helped solidify a defense that is much improved since his 1st season. He has 14 sacks and has been a factor in the run game.

19

Giants

Demar George

OG

76

80

A

Analysis

A great pick at 19th overall as he grown to become a solid offensive lineman. The Giants have the league's 2nd best rushing attack and George has definitely been a factor.

20

Panthers

Berry McDonald

CB

76

95

A+

Analysis

With a rare combination of speed and skill, McDonald has turned into one of the league's best cornerbacks. He has 12 interceptions and 10 sacks which is almost as much as the top 2 linebackers taken in this draft. An amazing corner.

21

Bengals

Chaquil Olsen

MLB

75

78

B-

Analysis

Olsen is the only player not on the team that drafted him as he was traded to the Raiders after 1 season. He has 90 tackles in 3 seasons which are great numbers but puts them up on a very bad defense.

“With a rare combination of speed and skill, McDonald has turned into one of the league's best cornerbacks.”

22

Patriots

Chuck Thomas

QB

77

94

A+

Analysis

Thomas has turned into one of the league's best QBs. He has put it together this season to lead a very good Patriots team. To find one of the best QB's at 22 is an amazing pickup for the Patriots.

23

Packers

TyMichael Thompson

DT

82

86

B+

Analysis

Thompson is a great tackle and another great pick up for the Packers. While extremely talented, he hasn't quite put up amazing numbers with 9 sacks and 35 tackles. Only thing keeping this from an A.

24

49ers

Isiah Jacobs

TE

80

81

D+

Analysis

Jacobs was a talented TE out of college. I don't love drafting TE's in the 1st round (unless you are the Titans/Panthers), so it needs to be a hit. 1200 yards and 3 TDs is not what you want in the 1st.

25

Bears

Christopher Watt

TE

80

83

F

Analysis

Like Jacobs, another solid TE out of college. He has not been utilized with only 42 catches and 460 yards in 3 seasons. That is less than 1 catch and 11 yards per game. Any FA could put up those numbers.

26

Colts

Eduardo Bruce

CB

75

80

B+

Analysis

A solid starting cornerback for a pretty good defense. He has 6 interceptions in the last 2 seasons. A pretty good pickup for this late in the 1st round.

27

Chiefs

Jamal Hillis

DE

81

92

A+

Analysis

Hillis has turned into a monster pass rusher. He currently has 19 sacks which is 3rd in the league. Absolutely one of the best picks in this draft and should have gone top 5.

28

Chargers

Alexander Bramlet

OT

76

76

C+

Analysis

I think finding a starting tackle this late is a decent pickup. But in 3 seasons, Bramlet has not progressed. He is an average starter and this pick gets an average grade.

29

Bills

Ryne Brewer

WR

81

85

A

Analysis

Brewer has been a rare bright stop for an otherwise awful Bills offense. He has nearly 2500 yards in his 1st  3 seasons as he has become the Bill's #1 WR.

30

Jaguars

Trevor Knapp

WR

76

76

F

Analysis

I think the Jaguars knew this pick was a bust the 1st day of practice. He doesn't have the tools to be a solid receiver in this league. He has around 400 yards and 3 TDs in 3 seasons.

31

Cowboys

Demontray Najvar

DT

78

81

C+

Analysis

While I think it's great to find this solid of a player this late in the draft, he hasn't quite put up the numbers with only 5 sacks and 16 tackles in 3 seasons. Hopefully he can put it together soon.

32

Packers

DJ Lynch

HB

78

78

F

Analysis

DJ has only managed 300 yards and 2 TDs in his 1st 3 seasons and a miserable 2.7 yards per carry. Trent Richardson 2.0. He won't be on the Packers long.

“To find one of the best QB's at 22 is an amazing pickup for the Patriots.”
