Draft Pros: Season 39 Mock Draft V1

by xXunderoathzXx | 1 week ago | 3 Comments

Hey guys and welcome to our 1st edition of McShay’s (xxx) and Kiper’s (Jamie) mock draft. We put our differences aside to come together to do our pre-combine mock. The draft slots will likely change before draft day but this is our best guess for right now, and you know we are never wrong. Let us know how we did in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

“The speed burner can help anchor a horrible 49ers WR core in need of a lift.”

Description

1

49ers

Paul Zemaitis

WR

Well the 49ers are sure not going to fix their problems in 1 draft, but Zemaitis is a good way to start. The speed burner can help anchor a horrible WR core in need of a lift.

2

Steelers

Jean Goodman

OLB

The Steelers need to replace TJ Watt and the Pittsburgh man should stay right at home with his hometown Steelers. He may be the classes best pass rusher.

3

Eagles

Frank Schlegel

QB

The Eagles have been frustrated with the progression of Cantelupe, and I think Schlegel is everything he is not: an accurate passer.

4

Bills

Roy Foucault

MLB

The Bills have had a hole at MLB since they shipped of Edmunds to Green Bay. I doubt they ever become an offensive powerhouse so why waste a pick on offense? Take one of the best tackling MLBs in the class!

5

Vikings

Trenten Miller

DT

The Vikings could use a compliment to Ali and Hunter at DT. Miller is a fantastic prospect and should be able to help the Vikings acquire one of the best defensive lines in the MBL.

6

Raiders

Taylor Marks

OT

I predict an offensive lineman to the Raiders every mock and they always go defense. But I am sticking with it! They need to address their offensive line and Marks is a fantastic prospect.

7

Chargers

Noah Ohrnberger

OG

Franchise QB Hartley spends more time in the medical tents than the actual games. The Chargers need to protect their investment and get him some help, Ohrnberger can do that.

8

Texans

Jordan McManus

QB

The Texans are struggling with Dustin Jerry at QB. After hitting on their defensive players last draft, time for the Texans to turn to offense. McManus is an extremely accurate QB that is ready to play day one.

9

Jags

Ed McCollum

OLB

The Jags offense has been successful but the defense is another matter. The 21 year old zone coverage linebacker is one of the best OLB talents in this draft.

10

Cardinals

BJ Drummond

HB

The Cardinals won division titles by running the football with a prime David Johnson. His best days are gone so I think they should turn to this draft’s best RB prospect in Drummond.

“Griffin is another monster run stopping MLB, probably the best tackler in the class.”

Description

11

Bucs

Shawn Munnerlyn

DT

Tampa Bay hasn’t quite been able to replace Vita Vea. The Texas A&M product should be able to fill the void at nose tackle and eat up some blocks and offensive lineman.

12

Packers

Ben Coffman

OG

The Packers have a pretty solid team with the exception of some major holes among the offensive line. Coffman is the best pass blocker in the class and would be an instant upgrade.

13

Broncos

Andre Griffin

MLB

Griffin is another monster run stopping MLB, probably the best tackler in the class. The Broncos defense would be getting a major upgrade with Griffin and he is too talented to drop much further.

14

Titans

Jason Weber

QB

I can never guess the Titans picks as the owner loves to remind me. They almost went QB after trading up last draft so I would not be shocked to see them try again with a better QB prospect in this draft.

15

Redskins

Marcus Culberson

WR

The Redskins have really been hurting for WRs these last few seasons. Culberson has the best hands in this draft class and can catch anything Richie throws his way.

16

Rams

Turner Morse

QB

Rumors have it that the Rams are going to be losing Russell Wilson this offseason. Morse isn’t that type of prospect but is solid and may be a decent pickup for the Rams.

17

Bears

Tre Morton

CB

The Bears CB core is aging fast and is in need of some major help. Tre Morton would excel in the man coverage system the Bears like to run.

18

Saints

Ed McCollum

OLB

The Saints always seem to surprise me their draft picks, but I see them taking good value here in McCollum. He is a great prospect at OLB that can both pass cover and be a factor in the run game.

19

Jets

Morgan Schuening

WR

The Jets WR core is starting to show its age and they could do well with the TCU prospect. He has good hands and the tape on him is solid. We will have to see how he performs at the draft combine though!

20

Browns

Dillon Willis

OG

The Browns don’t seem to put much value on offensive lineman but I think Willis is a great pick here and too good to pass up. The USC product is a run blocking specialist.

21

Seahawks

Matt Thornton

S

The Seahawks will likely be losing Lamarcus Joyner in the offseason and could use a replacement. Thornton is probably this draft’s best prospect at safety.

“Cooper is the draft’s best pass coverage MLB and should be an instant starter.”

22

Bengals

Malcolm Troupe

OLB

The Bengals have pass rusher Shaquil Barrett penciled in at OLB and could use a better scheme fit there for their system. Troupe would step in and be an instant upgrade.

23

Dolphins

Lincoln Williamson

CB

This CB draft class is really thin so I could see the Dolphins reaching on the team’s only real weakness. Williamson is the draft’s best zone cover corner.

24

Giants

Tyson Mathis

OLB

It may be time to finally replace Vernon in the Big Apple. Mathis is a fantastic speed rusher and would be a steal at this point in the draft.

25

Giants (From Falcons)

Darrell Symonette

OT

I think the GIants should look to improving their offensive line with their 2nd of back to back picks. Symonette is a polished pass blocker from Virginia Tech.

26

Ravens

Houston Tuel

OG

The Ravens love to run the ball and Tuel loves to run block. This would be a nice fit for the Ravens and decent value in the late 1st.

27

Panthers

Avius Siler

WR

Shepard and Sharpe will both be on the wrong side of 30 when the season starts. Siler is a short route running specialist that could compliment deep threats DJ Moore and Super Mario.

28

Chiefs

Corey Cooper

MLB

Ragland is starting to show his age and the Chiefs would be wise to pick his replacement in Cooper. Cooper is the draft’s best pass coverage MLB and should be an instant starter.

29

Colts

Michael Hughes

DE

The Colt’s real roster weakness is on the edge of the defensive line. Hughes can step in and be a factor in the run game, though he pass rushing needs some work.

30

Cowboys

Jabri Ealy

DT

The Cowboys have a really deep roster so they can afford to take a chance on a weak spot. Ealy is a talented but raw player. With Cowboys roster talent, he can afford to grow in Dallas.

31

Patriots

Curry Keaton

OG

The Patriots have 4 offensive lineman starting over the age of 30. Keaton is an excellent run blocker for the Patriots run heavy attack.

32

Lions

Patrick Hughes

S

The Lions never seem to keep their 1st so I doubt this is their guy! Jefferson will be 32 and Hughes can step in and play decent zone coverage from day one.

Stay tuned for version 2 closer to draft day!
