Panthers defeated the Saints, 27-21. J. Dart gave Carolina the edge through the air, throwing 2 touchdown passes while passing for 225 yards. His work set the tone for a Panthers offense that found enough answers, and N. Jackson added 67 receiving yards as a reliable option in the attack. That combination gave the Panthers the production they needed to come away with the win. New Orleans still found offense in the loss behind P. Christie, who passed for 206 yards. B. Hartman contributed 69 receiving yards and helped keep the Saints within striking distance. Even so, the Panthers made the bigger plays when they had to and finished on top.
