Chargers defeated the Buccaneers, 20-17. B.Johnson Jr. led the way with 207 passing yards and 2 touchdown passes, giving the Chargers the edge through the air. T.Palmer turned those chances into points with 2 touchdown catches, and T.McMillan added 80 receiving yards to keep the offense moving. That combination gave Los Angeles enough firepower to finish on top. The Buccaneers had their moments in defeat behind J.Durant, who threw for 134 yards and a touchdown. M.Evans Jr. chipped in 78 receiving yards and helped keep Tampa Bay within striking distance. Even so, the Chargers' passing game proved to be the difference.
