Jets defeated the Patriots, 24-14. A.Manning gave New York the edge with 2 touchdown passes while throwing for 175 yards, directing the Jets with efficiency when they needed it most. P.Nacua added 69 receiving yards and provided a reliable target in a passing game that did enough to control the result. That combination gave the Jets the decisive production in a game where finishing chances mattered. The Patriots found offense through J.Hoover, who passed for 194 yards in a strong effort despite the loss. J.Smith contributed 63 receiving yards and helped keep New England moving through the air. Even with those performances, the Patriots could not match the scoring punch Manning supplied for the Jets.
