Bears defeated the Lions, 38-30. C.Williams gave Chicago the edge through the air, throwing 2 touchdown passes while finishing with 232 yards. He found C.Henry Jr repeatedly, and the wideout turned that connection into 2 touchdowns and 121 receiving yards. That combination supplied the decisive punch for a Bears offense that made its biggest plays count. Detroit had plenty of production in the loss behind F.Mendoza, who threw 3 touchdown passes and passed for 300 yards. J.Velling was a major part of that response, finishing with 108 receiving yards as the Lions kept pressure on throughout. Even with that output, Chicago’s passing game proved sharper in the moments that mattered most.
