Game of the Week Recap

Panthers defeated the Lions, 31-24. A.Manning threw 2 touchdown passes and passed for 204 yards, giving the Panthers the efficiency they needed to come out on top. T.McMillan provided a major lift in the passing game with 113 receiving yards, helping keep the offense on schedule. That combination gave Carolina enough firepower to finish the job. The Lions had plenty of punch in the air despite the loss, as I.Vick Jr passed for 243 yards and threw 2 touchdown passes. E.Santiago was the centerpiece of that effort, turning in 104 receiving yards and catching 2 touchdowns to keep Detroit threatening throughout. It was a strong offensive showing that ultimately came up just short.
