Jets defeated the Dolphins, 28-7. D. Kirkpatrick drove the win with 3 touchdown passes, pairing efficiency with a 252-yard day through the air. That production gave New York the control it needed, and Kirkpatrick’s command of the passing game kept the Jets in front throughout. The offense found its edge behind his accuracy and finish around the goal line. Miami still got a respectable effort from R. Hood, who threw 1 touchdown pass and finished with 201 yards. The Dolphins also saw B. Childers pile up 120 receiving yards, a strong showing in a losing effort. But against Kirkpatrick’s sharper night, those contributions were not enough to change the result.
