Chargers defeated the Patriots, 10-3. J. Herbert’s lone touchdown pass gave Los Angeles the edge, and he finished with 132 yards through the air in a game where the Chargers did enough when chances came their way. K. Lambert-Smith led the receiving effort with 65 yards, helping keep the offense moving. It was a measured winning formula, but it was enough to carry the Chargers home. New England found production in defeat behind D. Maye, who threw for 245 yards and kept the Patriots involved throughout. J. Newkirk provided a steady target with 64 receiving yards as the Patriots searched for a breakthrough. The yardage was there for New England, but the Chargers still walked away with the win.
