Patriots defeated the Jets, 24-13. D. Maye set the tone with 279 passing yards and 3 touchdown passes, giving the Patriots the spark they needed. K. Boutte led the receiving effort with 82 yards, and J. Metchie III added 41 more as New England’s passing game carried the day. That balance and efficiency gave the Patriots control and allowed them to close out the win. The Jets got 104 passing yards from J. Fields, but they could not keep pace with what Maye and the Patriots generated. New York showed some fight in the loss, yet the gap through the air proved difficult to overcome. Against a passing attack that kept finding answers, the Jets were left trying to respond from behind.
