Falcons defeated the Commanders, 35-24. Michael Penix Jr. threw 2 touchdown passes and passed for 228 yards, giving Atlanta the control it needed on an efficient afternoon. Drake London was his biggest difference-maker, turning his opportunities into 2 touchdown catches while finishing with 121 receiving yards. That connection gave the Falcons the edge whenever they needed a play through the air. Washington had plenty of punch in the loss behind Jayden Daniels, who passed for 276 yards and added 1 touchdown pass. Terry McLaurin was a major reason the Commanders kept coming, piling up 138 receiving yards and stretching the field throughout the day. The production was there for Washington, but Atlanta’s passing game was sharper where it mattered most.
