Browns defeated the Rams, 41-27. B.Nix threw 3 touchdown passes and passed for 261 yards, giving the Browns the kind of command they needed from the outset. T.Franklin was his biggest threat, turning in a 170-yard day and catching 2 touchdowns to punish the Rams through the air. That connection gave Cleveland its edge and kept the offense in rhythm throughout the win. The Rams had plenty of firepower in defeat behind B.Young, who threw 3 touchdown passes while passing for 203 yards. C.Barlow answered with 2 touchdown catches and remained a featured piece of the response, while C.Benjamin added 63 receiving yards. Los Angeles produced enough offense to stay dangerous, but the Browns’ passing game proved sharper.
