Chiefs defeated the Chargers, 27-13. J. Milton III led the way through the air, throwing 2 touchdown passes while piling up 332 yards as Kansas City’s offense found its rhythm. J. Jefferson gave the passing game a major lift with 139 receiving yards, providing the kind of explosive presence that kept the Chiefs in control. That combination gave the Chiefs the edge and enough firepower to put the game away. The Chargers had some production of their own in defeat, with J. Allen limited to 118 passing yards. L. McConkey was his most productive target, finishing with 55 receiving yards, but Los Angeles could not match the efficiency Kansas City found through the air. It was a solid effort in spots, yet the Chargers were left chasing a more productive Chiefs attack.
