Broncos defeated the Texans, 27-17. M.Penix Jr set the tone for Denver with 271 yards through the air and 3 touchdown passes, giving the Broncos the edge where it mattered most. He kept the offense moving with authority, and R.Shaheed’s 76 receiving yards added an important element to the winning effort. That combination gave Denver the production it needed to finish on top. Houston had its moments in defeat behind C.Stroud, who threw 2 touchdown passes and finished with 263 passing yards. D.Schultz provided a reliable target and turned in 79 receiving yards as the Texans kept pushing back. Even so, the Broncos’ sharper work in the passing game proved to be the difference.
