Dolphins defeated the Buccaneers, 47-7. N.Newberry directed the victory with 243 passing yards and 3 touchdown passes, giving Miami the kind of efficient aerial production that kept pressure on throughout. D.Metcalf was his most dangerous target, turning his night into 116 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. That connection gave the Dolphins the edge every time the offense needed a decisive play. The Buccaneers still found some offense through Z.Borders, who threw for 258 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss. He kept Tampa Bay attacking through the air even as the game slipped away. But the Dolphins’ sharper finishing work, led by Newberry and Metcalf, proved to be the difference.
