Chiefs defeated the Colts, 35-23. P.Mahomes powered Kansas City with 5 touchdown passes and 323 yards through the air, setting the tone for an offense that kept pressing the advantage. R.Rice was at the center of it, turning his work into 2 touchdown catches while finishing with 104 receiving yards. The Chiefs leaned on that connection, and it gave them the game’s most decisive offensive edge. The Colts had plenty of production in the loss, with P.Rivers throwing 2 touchdown passes and 303 yards. M.Pittman Jr. gave Indianapolis a major lift as well, finishing with 135 receiving yards and providing a consistent threat in the passing game. It was a strong response from the Colts, but Kansas City’s aerial attack proved too much to overcome.
