Lions defeated the Commanders, 39-28. J.Goff drove Detroit’s offense with 347 yards and 4 touchdown passes, setting the tone for a sharp aerial attack. S.LaPorta was his most dangerous target, turning his night into 3 touchdown catches that kept the Lions in control. A.St. Brown added 108 receiving yards, giving the passing game another steady source of production. Washington had plenty of offense in the loss behind J.Allen, who threw for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns. D.Knox supplied 104 receiving yards and helped the Commanders keep answering through the air. Even so, the Lions’ finishing power in the passing game proved too much to overcome.
