Commanders defeated the Giants, 48-45. Robert Griffin III drove Washington’s attack with 429 yards and 3 touchdown passes, giving the Commanders the kind of aerial punch that kept the pressure on all game. R. Kidd was his most damaging target, turning his work into 217 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. That connection gave Washington its edge whenever it needed a finishing play. The Giants had plenty of firepower in the loss, led by J. Pressley’s 4 touchdown passes. Malik Nabers was the centerpiece of that response, hauling in 4 touchdowns and repeatedly keeping New York within striking distance. It was a forceful answer from the Giants’ passing game, but not enough to overturn Washington’s winning night.
