New Year: New Texans

This off-season we saw guys like Orlando Brown Jr depart the roster after refusing to resign- Watson get franchise tagged, and a number of other key players depart. However we have reloaded via the middle rounds of the draft where we loaded up with 2nd round, and 4 the round picks. Despite a number of savvy vets on the roster, many starting roles were won by rookies this year. HB's Steven Aldridge and Elijiah Bacon look to carry the load over incumbant Rutland. Rookie Artevious George likes to be in the 3 deep WR rotation, while the OL sees another rookie Danny Mooreland starting at LT. On the defensive side of the ball 2 spots in the defensive back field were won by rookies after an impressive camp and pre-season. 2nd round pick Leon Mason starts opoosite of Maruc Peters, and 4th rounder Rishard Portis takes over at SS over second year player Williams.

When asled about this years rookie class Coach Hansen had this too say " We didn't draft anyone with hype, theres no circus, no expectations. We drafted guys who we felt fit our scheme and the locker room or culture were trying to build here. And I think it showed in last nights win over a very tough opponent. We moved the ball effectively on the ground, the OL played great, our backs ran hard, Deshaun was hitting our recievers, and some guys really stepped in the pass game. Defensively we gave up too many points, but I did enjoy watching Mason lock down their receivers all day. Young fellah even snagged a fumble recovery"

Texan Fans, weve seent his before, so dont get your hopes up- ITS ONLY ONE WIN. Still 15 more opportunties to lose.
