League Settings



  • Difficulty: All Madden
  • Game Style: Simulation
  • Quarter Length: 7 Minutes
  • Accelerated Clock: ON
  • Coaches: Custom Coaches
  • Trait Regression: OFF
  • Play Cooldown: 5
  • Play Limit: 10





General Gameplay Rules



  • No playing CPU or User on Auto.
     
    • Violation = Force Win for opponent
    • Repeated offenses may result in forfeits

  • Practice Squad Stealing: Opens after Week 6 advance
  • Streaming Requirements
     
    • Away team must stream Sunday, Monday, & Thursday Night games
    • Away teams must stream all playoff games
    • Super Bowl: Both teams must stream
    • Post stream link in chat

  • Playoff Teams
     
    • Playoff teams cannot sign free agents until eliminated

  • Cheating Accusations
     
    • Know the rules before accusing
    • Video proof required
    • Complaints without proof will be ignored
    • Streaming is strongly encouraged

  • Custom Playbooks
     
    • If a play is called and shows Special Teams, it is considered a corrupt offense

  • Pausing
     
    • No pausing on defense mid-play
    • Call a timeout instead

  • Simulated Games
     
    • 4 simulated games = no playoffs
    • Force Wins/Losses do not count

  • Player Editing
     
    • No editing current NFL player names or throwing hand
    • Drafted players may have throwing hand edited
    • Player names will not be changed due to quits






Offensive Rules




No Huddle Rules



  • No huddle allowed after a first down
  • No no-huddle after a negative play
  • If no first down is achieved, you must select a new play
  • No huddle allowed:
     
    • Under 2 minutes before halftime
    • Under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter

  • Defense must be allowed to set before snapping
  • Rules apply in 4th quarter & overtime



Clock Management



  • No chew clock unless both teams agree
  • No milking clock unless:
     
    • Under 2 minutes in the half
    • Under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter




Kickoffs



  • 1 scum kick per half only
  • No fullback kicks to the 20 all game
  • We are not playing lobby ball



Formations & Motion



  • Dual halfbacks allowed in Shotgun & Pistol (no speed limits)
  • Motioned WR/HB must be set before snap
  • Auto-motion is allowed
  • Suspected foul play:
     
    • Call timeout
    • Record video proof






4th Down Rules



You may go for it:


  • 4th & 2 or less on your own 45
  • Anytime at or past midfield
  • If down by 17+ (Hurry-Up rules still apply)



Fakes



  • 1 fake punt & 1 fake FG per half



Exceptions



  • No 4th down rules in 4th quarter or OT
  • Hurry-Up rules still apply





Defensive Rules



  • Must rush at least 2 players
     
    • Spy does not count as a rusher

  • No usering D-linemen in coverage
  • No manual movement of D-linemen pre-snap
     
    • Shifts, spreads, and pinches using Madden controls are allowed
    • No inching D-linemen left/right

  • Linebackers, CBs, and Safeties may be adjusted for coverage
     
    • No manually stacking gaps
    • No repeated movement to time the snap

  • Showing blitz formations that naturally place players in gaps is legal
  • No constant side-to-side or back-and-forth movement
  • Safeties may be used as Sub LBs only
     
    • Nickel & Dime defenses only






Quitting & Tanking



  • No quitting or conceding
     
    • Quit = Suspension

  • No tanking until Week 14





Game Disconnects



  • Games must be recreated with:
     
    • Same score
    • Same time
    • Same possession

  • Restart only if both players agree
  • If game is clearly decided in 2nd half, it may be counted
  • Never count a close game unless losing team agrees
  • Communicate and use common sense





Trades



  • 3 trades per league year (Super Bowl to Super Bowl)
  • Trades must be submitted through DaddyLeagues Trade Calculator
  • Both owners must submit for approval
  • Evaluate trades carefully before submission
  • New owners must play 4 games before trading
  • No trading with CPU
  • Players acquired must stay 1 full season before being traded again



Superstar / X-Factor Rule



  • Superstar or X-Factor players:
     
    • May only be moved once
    • Cannot be moved back

  • Violation results in:
     
    • 4-game suspension
    • Ability downgraded to Star






Roster & Position Rules




Depth Chart Restrictions



  • No WR at TE
  • No HB at FB
  • Only TEs allowed at TE depth chart
  • No MLB at DT
  • No CB at LB



Roster Requirements



  • Teams must carry:
     
    • 3 TEs, or
    • 2 TEs + 1 FB

  • 3rd TE slot must be TE or FB only


Position Change Rules



  • QB & OL can NEVER be moved
  • WR ↔ HB: Not allowed
  • HB → QB: Not allowed
  • CB → LB: Not allowed
  • WR → TE:
     
    • Min 6’3, 225 lbs
    • Max 82 speed

  • DB → LB:
     
    • Min 225 lbs
    • Max 82 speed

  • LB → Safety:
     
    • 200–225 lbs only

  • RB → FB:
     
    • Min 225 lbs
    • Max 82 speed (unless natural FB)

  • TE → FB:
     
    • Max 86 speed

  • DT:
     
    • Must be 265 lbs or more

  • DE ↔ LB allowed
  • CB ↔ Safety allowed (weight/speed rules apply)
